Improving Our Roads for a Smoother, Safer Drive
We’re refreshing our roads with chip sealing and fog sealing to extend pavement life, improve traction, and protect the road surface.
📌 The Process
1. Road Preparation — May–June
Crews will clear shoulders, clean ditches, trim brush, and improve drainage.
2. Surface Repairs — May–June
Asphalt repairs will smooth bumps, dips, and uneven areas.
3. Chip Sealing — June–August 🚜
Liquid asphalt is applied, followed by rock chips that are rolled into place.
⚠️ Curing Phase: Roads may look like gravel for a few days. Please drive cautiously at 25 MPH to help prevent loose gravel from scattering.
4. Fog Sealing
A protective coating is applied to help extend pavement life, seal minor cracks, improve traction, and protect the surface.
5. Final Touches 🚛
Roads are swept, pavement markings are installed, and normal traffic resumes.
🚗 What to Expect

No full road closures, but brief delays with flaggers.

One lane at a time will be worked on.

Expect some loose gravel before final sealing.
