Environmental Health works to protect the health of our community by helping ensure our food, water, and environments are safe from disease, pollution, and other hazards. Our team issues permits, conducts inspections, responds to public health concerns, and provides education and resources to help keep Skagit County healthy and safe.

Skagit County Public Health is seeking feedback on proposed changes to its Schedule of Charges that would take effect January 1, 2027.

The proposed changes include fee increases for select Environmental Health services, including Retail Food Safety, On-Site Sewage, Drinking Water, and miscellaneous Environmental Health services with hourly rates. Updates to some Vital Records charges are also proposed.

The changes are intended to better align fees with the cost of providing services and support the long-term sustainability of these programs. We encourage you to review the proposed fee schedule and share your questions, comments, and feedback through any of the opportunities described below.
