Schedule Notes for both Peak and Non-Peak Seasons

There is no guaranteed second 11:15 a.m. run. The second 11:15 a.m. run only occurs at the discretion of the on-duty ferry captain. The mid-day break ensures our staff receive required lunch breaks and offers time for the crew to run safety drills and perform any necessary maintenance. We ask that you do not rely on the second 11:15 a.m. run being offered and to please plan to arrive early if you need to reach the
island before lunchtime. 

The Wednesday 9:15 a.m. ferry run to Guemes Island and 2:00 p.m. run from Guemes Island are hazardous material runs ONLY. No other passengers or vehicles allowed on these trips. 

2026 HazMat rate is $786.64. This rate covers one trip to Guemes Island and one return trip from Guemes Island. The fare may be split by multiple companies onboard and applies regardless of how many trucks are aboard the vessel.

HOLIDAYS
Ferry will run on a SATURDAY NONPEAK schedule ending at 10 p.m. when New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas fall on a Sunday through Thursday.

The Guemes Island Ferry will be fueling between 11:45 AM and 12:45 PM on the Tuesdays listed above.

As a result, there will be no second 11:15 AM (double) sailing.

Ferry maintenance and/or crew training may be conducted on other days between 11:45 AM and 12:45 PM.

Ferry Fare Schedule

Effective January 1, 2026

The County Commissioners set the annual fare schedule each year during the fall. Questions or comments regarding rates or other ferry related matters can be emailed to ferrycomments@skagitcountywa.gov

All fares include a capital surcharge dedicated to funding vessel replacement. Surcharge effective Aug. 1, 2018, per Skagit County Resolution R20180123.
