Opioid Overdoses in Skagit County
Data Trends
Skagit County passed an ordinance in 2019 requiring health care providers report opioid overdoses to Skagit County Public Health within 72 hours. Public Health uses this information to better understand overdose trends and guide prevention and response efforts.
After an overdose is reported to Public Health, staff attempt to follow up with the individual to learn more about what happened and connect them with resources and support.
