ACCOUNTABILITY
Youth should understand the impact of their actions on victims and the community.
Youth should accept responsibility for their actions and experience consequences that balance the impact of their actions with what will be effective for their rehabilitation.
COMMUNITY SAFETY
All of Skagit County’s citizens deserve to be and feel safe from crime and other anti-social behavior.
CASA Volunteers Needed
A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) or Volunteer Guardian ad Litem (VGAL) is a volunteer trained, sworn, and assigned by the court to provide independent advocacy for an individual child’s future best interest regarding decisions about living with relatives, reunification with a parent, guardianship, adoption, foster placement, etc.

Juvenile Offender Court
The Offender Court Program is the process of responding to and dealing with a criminal referral by going through Court. The result of the process, most often, will result in the youth being assigned to Probation Services.
Court interventions involving rehabilitative services and accountability are rarely implemented until after a conviction and being referred to Probation Services. Release conditions are usually set, pending a trial date, to insure appearance for future Court dates and to minimize further criminal behavior pending the outcome of the case.
