Board of County Commissioners
The County Commissioners host several types of meetings in the Commissioners' Hearing Room. All County Commissioner meetings, except for executive sessions, are open to the public under the Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA). The public can join Commissioner meetings in-person in the Hearing Room at 1800 Continental Place, Mount Vernon.
Televised meetings are available to watch on TV21. There is an archive of TV21 recordings available on our website. Non-televised meetings are available to join via Zoom. Recordings of Zoom meetings are available to any member of the public by emailing commissioners@skagitcountywa.gov

Executive Sessions
Work sessions and staff briefings are intended to be discussions between staff and the Commissioners. No public input or comments are taken during these meetings.
Executive sessions are opportunities for the Commissioners to receive legal advice from the Prosecuting Attorney's Office. Executive sessions are not open to the public and they are not recorded.
How to Provide Public Comment
In-Person
The public may join public hearings to offer feedback and comments to the County Commissioners.
The Commissioners also host weekly general public comment periods for anyone to join in-person or via Zoom to provide comments to the Commissioners on any county-related topic.
Weekly public comment periods are offered when the Commissioners' are available on Tuesdays at 11:30 a.m. Check the Commissioners' weekly agenda for details.
